The saga begins on Sommarøy, a remote island group in Arctic Norway above the polar circle. Here, three months of polar night bleed into three months of midnight sun. Locals have even banned clocks, trusting only their own biological rhythms.
For most, it’s a curiosity. For Eternity Man, Sommarøy is sanctuary—the only known place in the universe where time softens into a gentle, permanent “now.” A natural temporal eddy that lets his unstable biology finally rest.
He lives quietly with Trinity, his life partner and native to the island, and Glitch, his loyal cyborg dog. Trinity’s touch instantly grounds his volatility, nullifying his warping powers while it lasts (she herself is completely immune to his time-shifting). Glitch has no combat protocols or weapons—only absolute loyalty and the unexplained ability to follow Eternity Man through every warp-port, time jump, and dimensional shift.
Eternity Man’s powers are rooted in the fourth dimension:
Limitations keep him human: unintended paradoxes from altering timelines, and chronic biological instability from carrying infinite timelines in one body. He is heroically strong and muscular, but more Batman than Superman—relying on skill, will, and precision.
His greatest weapon is Gram, the legendary Nordic sword that cuts fate itself. In the hands of its rightful wielder, Gram grants battlefield invincibility. In Eternity Man’s grip, it may be one of the most powerful artifacts in the multiverse. But the sword does not serve him—they are partners in the fight against the Dark. Gram’s full history is revealed in Chapter 5.
Eternity Man is, at heart, a humble middle-aged man who happens to bear the weight of eternity. He wears no mask, hides no secret identity, and lives openly in the Sommarøy community. He leaves only when the holographic infinity symbol—his signal—blazes in the sky, calling him to answer a calamity.
A Mars-bound science ship is torn apart by a spontaneous chronal vortex. Aboard, Eternity Man’s pregnant mother and father. Inside the vortex, time collapses. Two entities are born from raw temporal energy:
They are literal twins of the same impossible moment—same origin, opposite expressions.
The vortex spits the survivors onto Mars. Eternity Man is raised in the colony, his powers emerging unpredictably as a child. Zurvan appears years later, already self-aware, and begins his repeated offers: merge to become the complete cycle, the most powerful force in existence. Eternity Man always refuses.
In present day, Zurvan runs the Odditorium Phantasmagoria, a dazzling multiversal circus that hides his true trade: black-market dealings in the rarest substance of all—Somnolent.
Signal burns through Arctic night
Eternity Man, I’ll set it right
Waves of fate, I’ll turn the tide
Sommarøy’s call, my powers ride
Portals flare, time loops spin
Glitch by my side, where I begin
Eternity Man, twist the stars
Lord of Relativity, break the bars
Warp the rift, make futures align
Sovereign of Time, eternal shine!
Sommarøy’s shore, where clocks don’t run
I bend the hours, but ripples stun
They fear my might, mistrust my name
Yet I’ll save their world, from endless flame
Glitch bounds free, through warped space
Time’s my blade, I’ll hold this place
Eternity Man, twist the stars
Lord of Relativity, break the bars
Warp the rift, make futures align
Sovereign of Time, eternal shine!
Vortex spun, where stars collide
Born in chaos, no place to hide
Her touch holds time, my soul’s restrained
In Sommarøy’s light, love reigns
Aether calls, a cosmic spark
Yet I stand firm, against the dark
Zurvan rises, from vortex born
Brother shadow, time’s endless storm
Yin and Yang, he calls my name
Unite in Aether, play his game
Glitch snarls low, I face the fight
Rewind the dark, restore the light
Eternity Man, twist the stars
Lord of Relativity, break the bars
Warp the rift, make futures align
Sovereign of Time, eternal shine!
Eternal shine
Eternity Man, forever I’ll stand
Time’s my sword, love’s my hand
